Here are some rules I intend to live by in 2024. Take what you need and leave the rest!

In a world driven by material pursuits, we often find ourselves meticulously safeguarding our tangible possessions, each one adorned with a price tag that dictates its perceived worth. Yet, amidst this financial scrutiny, we tend to overlook the immeasurable value embedded in facets of our lives that defy monetary quantification — our eyesight, relationships, and freedom.

Our eyes, the windows to our souls, bear witness to the beauty and complexity of the world. Yet, their true worth is often underestimated until we confront the possibility of their loss. The ability to see, to witness the sunrise or the smile of a loved one, is a treasure that transcends any material possession. It is a priceless gift, but one that we too often take for granted.

Likewise, relationships form the fabric of our existence, weaving together the tapestry of our lives. Unlike material possessions, the value of relationships cannot be measured in currency; their worth lies in shared moments, emotional support, and the profound impact they have on our well-being. Yet, in the pursuit of wealth, we may neglect the time and effort required to nurture these connections, only realizing their true importance when faced with their potential absence.
